Scholarship Giving

At Juilliard, admission has always been based on talent and dedication alone. Once accepted to the School, we believe that no student should be denied their education for want of funds. With nearly 90 percent of our students typically eligible for financial assistance, every scholarship gift represents important progress toward Juilliard’s goal of securing the resources required to meet the needs of our young artists.

The Juilliard Scholarship Fund

Offering support to any student with need, this vital fund makes a Juilliard education possible for many deserving young actors, dancers, and musicians. Gifts in any amount are gratefully welcomed. Please consider making a donation to the Juilliard Scholarship Fund online.

A Named Scholarship

Donors may establish scholarships in their name or in honor or memory of someone special. Named scholarships at Juilliard are funded on an annual basis or can be permanently endowed to create a lasting legacy that will support talented young artists for generations to come. For more information about Juilliard’s scholarship program, please contact Katie Murtha at kmurtha@juilliard.edu or 212-799-5000, ext. 7878.

All scholarship recipients are chosen by a Juilliard committee of senior administrators and faculty primarily on the basis of financial need, as well as artistic merit. Donors may not select recipients. If you are considering establishing a scholarship through a bequest or another type of deferred gift, please visit the Planned Giving section.
