Daniel Druckman was born in New York City and has appeared as a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, American Composers Orchestra, New York Philharmonic’s Horizons Concerts, and the San Francisco Symphony’s New and Unusual Music series. He has given recitals in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Tokyo, and is a member of the New York Philharmonic, Speculum Musicae, and New York New Music Ensemble. Guest appearances include engagements with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Da Capo Chamber Players, Group for Contemporary Music, Steve Reich and Musicians, and the Philip Glass Ensemble.

Druckman has premiered works by Charles Wuorinen, Jacob Druckman, Joseph Schwantner, and Ralph Shapey, and has appeared at the festivals of Santa Fe, Ravinia, Saratoga, Caramoor, and Tanglewood. He has recorded on the Columbia, Angel, Teldec, DGG, CRI, Nonesuch, Bridge, and New World labels, and is heard regularly on radio, television, and film. Druckman has taught master classes at Columbia University, the California Institute of the Arts, University of Colorado, Sacramento State University, San Diego State University, and Peabody. At Tanglewood he received the Henry Cabot Award for outstanding instrumentalist.

Druckman holds BM and MM degrees from Juilliard and has been on the school’s faculty since 1991
